TruBeu_she is never alone
How beautiful to live with the knowledge that we are never alone. Jackie, from Ethiopia that we recently spoke to shared that she has covered her kitchen wall with pictures of friends, family, fellow women in history, and people that have lived in the past and inspired her so as to always remind herself that there are so many people actually cheering her on. I thought that was so beautiful, and true.

I think about all the women (and men!) that have fought for what is right, what is true, what is beautiful to help push even an inch further so that someone like myself can have even a little bit of a better world. Even though many of them may no longer be with us, it’s beautiful to think of them cheering us on, no?

Here’s to all those that came before, some women that particularly come to mind are first my Grandmother, and my Great Grandmothers (who I’ve only really heard stories about). Audrey Hepburn, Nina Simone, Amelia Earhart, Mother Teresa… Tell us who you would like to tip your hat to? What women in history have helped shape your life? We would love to hear about them…
